Hi again! 👋
I’m a 4th-year Cognitive Science student at UC Santa Cruz, focusing on artificial intelligence and human–computer interaction. I’m fascinated by the ways people think, behave, and make decisions, and how design can support those interactions in simple, meaningful ways. My background in cognitive science shapes how I approach problems, grounding my work in curiosity, structure, and an understanding of human behavior.

My mission is to create digital experiences that feel intuitive, useful, and genuinely human. I blend cognitive science with UX research and design to craft interactions that align with how people naturally process information. Whether I’m conducting research, sketching early concepts, or refining prototypes, I’m drawn to the challenge of turning insights into experiences that reduce friction and enhance clarity.

Right now, I’m especially interested in the spaces where design, cognition, and emerging technology overlap. I care deeply about accessibility, behavior-centered design, and the subtle details that shape how we connect with digital tools.

Just Keep Swimming
Outside of design and research, I am captain of the UCSC Swim and Dive Team, a community that has shaped me just as much as any academic experience. I have been swimming since I was five, and it continues to be the place where I feel most grounded. Swimming supports both my mental and physical well-being and gives me space to reset when life feels overwhelming. Over the past four years, the team has been a source of connection, challenge, and growth. I have experienced both moments of joy and moments of responsibility during difficult periods, and those experiences taught me what collaborative leadership truly looks like. As captain and as the team’s primary social media manager, I work to cultivate an environment rooted in communication, empathy, and belonging. Swimming has shaped my discipline, resilience, and the way I show up for others, and these values influence how I approach design and the systems people move through.

In my free time
Outside of swimming and work, I turn to other forms of creativity. I love fashion, crafting, long walks by the ocean, cycling, and discovering new coffee shops. I am also happiest when I am camping or spending time outdoors with friends. These simple moments help me slow down and stay inspired.
